Remote: Canidates must be from NY, NJ, or CT only. This is a remote role, with occasional in person meetings in NYC on Saturday.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a visionary Social Media Marketing strategist with a deep understanding of the music business and strong insight into global political and social dynamics. This is not your typical marketing role — we want someone who thrives on innovation, challenges conventional thinking, and uses digital platforms to spark meaningful change.

Duties

Develop and execute out-of-the-box social media campaigns that align with our mission and voice
Craft compelling content strategies that resonate across music and activism communities
Leverage music industry trends to amplify message and reach
Stay up to date with trends in music, activism, and online engagement
Collaborate with our core team to drive storytelling, awareness, impact and to ensure consistent messaging
Grow our online presence and community engagement through content, and data analysis
Plan, schedule, and manage content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook. Snap Chat and Music Streaming Platforms
Develop creative campaigns that connect music culture with social justice themes
Create the creative content for the post i.e. # hashtags, mems, and other images assocatiated with the post

Requirements

2+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, and content creation
Background in or knowledge of the music industry
Understanding of current global political and social justice movements
Familiar with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Ability to work independently and think creatively
Canidates must be from NY, NJ, or CT only
This is a remote role, with occasional in person meetings in NYC on Saturday

Preferred but not required:

Experience with grassroots campaigns, nonprofit comms, or influencer marketing
Ability to create reels, videos, or other multimedia content

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
