Part-Time Music Teacher

Sonshine Christian Elementary and Middle School

Sonshine Christian Elementary and Middle School is seeking a Part-Time Music Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a committed Christian educator who is passionate about teaching music and helping students develop their God-given talents.

Responsibilities

Teach eight (8) 30-minute elementary general music classes each week.
Teach two (2) 45-minute middle school choir classes each week.
Teach vocal technique, music fundamentals, and choral performance skills.
Lead and direct several elementary musical productions throughout the school year.
Select and prepare appropriate music for middle school choir performances.
Maintain a positive, engaging, Christ-centered classroom environment.
Collaborate with school staff and administration to support school programs and performances.

Qualifications

Committed Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Supportive of the mission and values of Christian education.
Ability to teach choral parts and vocal music to middle school students.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Experience teaching music and directing student performances preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or related field preferred.

Position Details

Part-Time
School Year Position
Compensation is $25-$35/hour based on experience.
