Job Overview
We are seeking a Catholic Music Director to support the Chapel at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB).
Work Schedule
- Two Catholic services per week, one on Sunday and one Saturday
- Each service is 60-75 minutes, plus arrive 60 minutes prior to each service
- In addition to the above, there is also one 60-75 minute Catholic choir rehearsal per week
Job Duties Include:
- Manage and direct all musical aspects of the Catholic services, including rehearsals and performances.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for the music programs.
- Coordinate all musical selections with the Catholic Service Chaplain.
- Lead worship and special singing during services.
- Conduct weekly rehearsals for the Catholic choir and worship team.
- Manage the setup and teardown of equipment for rehearsals and services.
- Ensure that all music and equipment are properly maintained and catalogued.
- Attend worship clinics and professional conferences as required.
Requirements
- Must have at least two years of experience as a Roman Catholic Church musician or worship team director.
- Proficiency in individual singing, piano/keyboard playing, and leading congregational singing in a Roman Catholic Mass is required.
- Must pass a background investigation.
