Third Rock Music Center is a locally owned boutique guitar shop, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for our customers. Renowned for our expert product knowledge and unparalleled customer service, we offer a truly unique environment for musicians. We’re looking for a super-friendly, self-starter Sales Associate to join our fun and collaborative team.
Position Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you’ll be integral to our operation, sharing your love for music, assisting with minor guitar repairs, and guiding customers on their musical journey. From in-store visits to phone calls and online interactions, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service and product expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with selecting gear suited to their needs
- Build relationships with customers to enhance their experience
- Provide guidance on how to use gear effectively
- Help with inventory management and store organization
- Work collaboratively while thriving independently
- Perform minor guitar repairs and maintenance with attention to detail
- Help with daily cleaning
What We’re Looking For:
- High school education
- Availability for some evenings and Saturdays
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Knowledge of musical instrument industry brands and products
- Experienced guitar player with the ability to demonstrate/explain the various features of electric and acoustic guitars
- Previous customer service and sales experience (preferred)
- Eager to learn and adaptable to new tasks
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
