Job Summary
The Music Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering dynamic music instruction to K-8 students. This includes general music education, liturgical music preparation, and opportunities for student performance throughout the school year.
Responsibilities
- Teach general music classes to students in grades K-8
- Prepare students for school concerts, performances, and liturgical celebrations
- Collaborate with school leadership to integrate music into Mass and special events
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with academic and diocesan standards
- Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration about student progress
- Support the mission and Catholic identity of St. Adalbert School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (required)
- Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain one
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Strong piano, vocal, or instrumental skills
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgical music is a plus
- Commitment to the values of Catholic education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
