Position Description: The School of Music invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in the Musical Studies department teaching aural skills. Sections of this course meet twice a week for 50 minutes each class. There may be an option to teach multiple sections of this course.
Skills required:
- High level of musicianship, including piano proficiency, sight-singing, and rhythmic acuity
- Familiarity with teaching solfeggio and rhythmic solfge of any type
Qualifications: - MM in Music Theory, Music Education, Performance, or Composition
- Experience and success teaching aural skills at the university level

About DePaul University's Academic Calendar:
Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams).

Salary Information: The anticipated hiring rate of this position is between $4,400 and $6,600 per course, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
