Duties:Teach the String Instrument Method course for Music Education majors. Teach violin or viola lessons for non-majors.
Teach the following courses:
String Instruments (MUSM 2203)
Violin or Viola (MUS 1100-Strings)
Utilize teaching materials prepared by the music department
Utilization of email, Microsoft Word, web-based grading systems and web-based classroom management software (Moodle)
Required EducationMasters Degree in Education
Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMasters Degree in Education with a background in Orchestral Conducting and String Instruments.
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a public school setting, high school level.
Effective skills and utilization of appropriate audio, video and computer classroom technology
