Position Description:The Department of Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Teacher Education (EMSTED) invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the following areas:
Art Education
Building Learning Communities/Classroom Management
Assessment and Research Education
Coaching and Mentoring
Cultural Foundations of Education
Literacy Education
Mathematics Education
Multicultural Education
Music Education
Nutrition and Physical Education
Science Education
Social Studies Education
We offer courses in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including blended and online formats.
Department Mission The EMSTEd faculty includes nationally and internationally recognized experts in their content fields. The faculty is committed to pursuing studies and issues that effect education, both locally and nationally, including the nature of pedagogy and learning, and cultural diversity. The research and service conducted by our faculty has helped the department and College establish deep connections within the surrounding community and beyond through its work in curriculum development, content leadership networks, and teacher professional development. Faculty members have authored or co-authored numerous books and publish in the top professional journals in their fields.
