Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cello Teacher to join our vibrant music education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cello performance and teaching, with the ability to inspire students of various ages and skill levels. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, preparing students for student recitals and competitions, and participating in faculty recitals.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive cello lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels
- Conduct engaging and effective cello instruction for students of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and musical exploration
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Help student preparing for recitals, performances, or competitions
- Collaborate with other instructors for bi-annual faculty chamber recitals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning space conducive to artistic growth
Experience
- Master of Music in Cello Performance is preferred
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for music instruction
- Experience working with students in different ages
- Experience in chamber music performing
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
