Job Overview
Red Shed Music is casting a teen actor (boy, brown-skinned, ages 14–17) to portray the artist as a teenager in a story-driven, short film–style music video. This role includes 3–6 short scripted scenes filmed at home using a smartphone (parent/guardian filming). Scenes are simple and realistic (e.g., getting ready for work/clock-in style moments). Actor must be able to portray a 15-year-old. Parent/guardian must be present and sign a release.
Responsibilities
- Portray the character of a teenage boy with natural charisma and emotional authenticity during filming
- Follow direction from the director to execute scenes with enthusiasm and precision
- Engage in rehearsals to understand character motivations and movements
- Bring energy and spontaneity to spontaneous moments or improvisations during filming
Qualifications
- Aged between approximately 14 to 17 years old, with a confident and expressive presence
- Strong communication skills to understand directions clearly and convey emotions convincingly
- Ability to take direction well, stay focused, and perform confidently in front of cameras
- Comfortable performing physical movements such as dancing or expressive gestures
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn in a dynamic filming environment
- Phone or camera that records in 4K resolution
