About Timbalooloo:
Timbalooloo classes range from infants up through 10 years old, with the majority of classes being for 1-5 year olds, but some after-school elementary school classes as well. The room is filled with rhythm, melody and groove as we take a musical journey, discovering songs and instruments from all around the world. Through a story-based approach, the classes introduce the music of great masters from diverse traditions - from Herbie Hancock to Tito Puente, Mozart to Jobim, Babatunde Olatunji to Willie Nelson, as well as songs and games that help internalize musical concepts in a fun and intuitive way, all while allowing room for the children’s own creativity and sense of improvisation to shape the direction of each class.
About The Job: Teaching Artists teach group classes in schools (pre-schools, elementary, pre-k programs etc). Teachers can set their own schedules for when they are available to teach.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $48.00 - $83.00 per hour
