ARTS ADMINISTRATION INTERN
The Arts Administration Intern will work closely with the Managing Director to support the financial and administrative operations of the organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit arts administration, including budgeting, finance, human resources, facilities, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with accounts payable, credit card expenses, and petty cash processing
- Supporting the maintenance and updating of budgeting & forecasting spreadsheets
- Generating departmental financial reports
- Collecting, organizing, and maintaining HR onboarding and personnel documents
- Assisting with bi-weekly payroll timesheet tracking and review
- Scanning, filing, and organizing vendor and administrative records
- Reviewing and assisting with insurance, tax, and compliance-related documents
- Supporting inventory tracking and ordering of office and facility supplies
- Providing general administrative and inter-departmental support as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- An affinity for numbers and a love of logic puzzles
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Interest in nonprofit operations and behind-the-scenes arts administration
- Preferred coursework or experience in arts administration, business management, finance, accounting, or a related field
