Digital Music Production Instructor
| GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Digital Music Production Instructor will teach a year-long Musical Engineering course to 9th grade students. Using Soundtrap for Education, this course delivers hands-on instructional programming that integrates music theory, foundational music skills, and digital production techniques. Students will create, record, edit, mix, and synchronize audio for music and video using industry-standard digital audio workstations.
| QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING requirements to be considered for this position:
- Current licensure in on the following areas; OR
- VO/CT/CW Entertainment Marketing (040115);
- CT/CW Performing Arts (340130);
- VO/CT/CW Interactive Media (140240);
- CT/CW Media Arts (340125);
- Work experience and/or educational attainment in related field as outlined below AND ability to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process, including university coursework:
- High school diploma AND five years relevant work experience;
- Relevant associate degree AND three years relevant work experience;
- Relevant bachelor or master degree AND two years relevant work experience;
- Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
- Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
- Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
- State-issued identification card with photograph;
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
