Responsibilities
- Perform as a key member of the band or ensemble, delivering energetic and precise keyboard parts during rehearsals and live shows
- Collaborate with other musicians and vocalists to arrange and adapt pieces for optimal performance quality
- Maintain and tune keyboard instruments regularly to ensure optimal sound quality during performances
- Rehearse diligently to perfect arrangements, timing, and technical execution of your parts
- Assist in setting up stage equipment, including keyboards, stands, pedals, and related gear before performances
- Support the overall musical direction by contributing ideas for arrangements or improvisations that enhance the group's sound
- Engage with audiences during performances to create a lively and memorable atmosphere
Skills
- Proven proficiency in playing keyboard instruments across various musical styles, including classical, jazz, pop, or theater music
- Strong understanding of music theory, sight-reading, and improvisation techniques
- Experience performing live in front of diverse audiences with confidence and professionalism
- Ability to quickly adapt to different musical arrangements and directions from conductors or band leaders
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team setting
- Knowledge of theater productions is a valuable asset for integrating keyboard parts into theatrical performances
