NAPERVILLE MUSIC ACADEMY, LLC, the largest music school in our area, is currently looking for a piano teacher comfortable with intermediate and advanced intermediate piano literature. Start date is 6/8.

- Since the owner is a music teacher, NMA has great respect for teachers and protects their time and income through clear cancellation policy and no free lessons.
- Out of 350 students, more than 200 are piano students
- Most of our teachers have been with us more than 8 years
- The pay rate depends on the teacher's educational background and experience
- We offer full administrative, accounting, and marketing support - teachers only teach, organize make ups, and attend student recitals.
- We are delighted to mentor young teachers and help them thrive at NMA
- We are located in the Fox Valley Mall area, on the border between Naperville and Aurora, about 200 yards from the intersection of Route 59 and Ogden.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- We need a piano teacher comfortable with intermediate and advanced intermediate piano literature.
- The teacher will be taking over the schedule from a retiring NMA teacher.
- Start with 1 day per week over the summer, and expanding to 2, maybe even 3 days, during the academic year.
- No traveling to student homes - all lessons are done on NMA premises. That way the schedules can be tight, the lessons can start and finish on time, and you don't have to waste your time travelling.
- Our teachers are independent contractors which gives them maximum tax deductions
- We teach students age 4 and up.
HIRING DEADLINE
We need to hire a teacher by 5/20.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The person hired for this position would need to be:
- Punctual, professional and respectful
- To know their instrument well
- Be open to learning new programs on the job
- Able and interested in teaching various styles of music
- Able to teach young students and beginners as well as advanced students
- Degree in music is required and previous teaching experience is a plus
- Teacher must have a car or a different mode of transportation since we are not located near a train station
TEACHER PAY
Qualified teachers will be paid between $41-$45 per hour, depending on their education and experience.
