Artists are slow to embrace GCAC’s legal grant and lawyer referral program which can help with setting up an art business entity, review of leases/contracts and guidance or renewal work on trademarks, copyrights, etc. This is such an important chance for artists to protect themselves. Also, as part of our lawyer referral program, we have a pool of vetted attorneys with expertise who have agreed on a flat rate for services for grantees.
