About Us
The All Abilities Learning Center is a division of Assure Healthcare Group of Arizona, dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and empowering space where each individual is seen, supported, and celebrated for their unique strengths.
We are more than just a day program—we are a community where music, creativity, and meaningful connection inspire personal growth and joy.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) who is passionate about using the power of music to foster emotional, cognitive, social, and physical well-being in adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to bring your creativity and clinical expertise into a program that blends fun with function—karaoke, rhythm circles, songwriting, instrument play, and music for emotional regulation are just the beginning!
The music therapist will provide services using individual session format to support client goals and enhance the overall program experience.
If you are a patient, compassionate, and collaborative professional who believes in the transformative power of music, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, individualized music therapy sessions aligned with members’ Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSP).
- Utilize music interventions to support communication, motor coordination, socialization, emotional regulation, and self-expression.
- Collaborate closely with program director, staff, families, and other therapists to integrate music therapy into the lives of our members.
- Facilitate individual music therapy sessions for 11–15 clients per week.
- Maintain documentation of sessions and progress according to organizational and clinical standards.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and fun environment that supports the holistic well-being of each member.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program.
- Completion of at least 1,200 clinical training hours, including a supervised internship.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of child/adolescent development, with the ability to adapt techniques for adults with developmental disabilities.
- Experience working in school, clinical, or special education settings preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, creative, and flexible approach to working with individuals of varying abilities.
Why Join Us?
- Mission-driven work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
- Supportive and fun team environment where your ideas are valued.
- Flexible scheduling – we understand the importance of work-life balance.
