Love live music? Want to gain hands-on experience behind the scenes at professional performances?
I’m a solo looping musician performing throughout the Chicagoland area and am looking for a reliable Roadie / Live Performance Assistant to join my team for weekend gigs.
What You’ll Do
- Load and unload professional music equipment
- Set up and tear down PA, lighting, guitars, and other gear
- Assist with stage setup and cable management
- Help with basic sound checks and troubleshooting
- Change guitar strings or assist with equipment maintenance when needed
- Keep performances running smoothly from setup through teardown
What I’m Looking For
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift 50–75 lbs.
- Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude
- Music, audio production, or live sound experience is a plus (but I’m willing to train the right person)
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
Compensation
- Paid per gig (amount varies by event)
- Opportunity for regular weekend work
- Great hands-on experience with professional live sound, looping, lighting, and performance production
