Duties

- Read sheet music fluently to interpret compositions accurately and maintain musical integrity during performances.
- Collaborate with directors and fellow musicians to select appropriate music pieces that align with thematic or liturgical requirements.
- Harmonize melodies and improvise creatively to enrich musical arrangements, demonstrating versatility across genres like hymn music, concert music, and contemporary styles.
- Utilize digital audio workstation (DAW) software for recording, editing, or producing musical content when needed.
- Set up acoustic treatment elements in performance spaces to optimize sound quality and audience experience.
- Engage in musical improvisation composition to craft unique arrangements or adapt existing pieces dynamically during live shows.
Experience
- Proven experience performing religious music or hymn arrangements in liturgical settings or similar environments.
- Demonstrated concert music performance experience with a strong vocal or instrumental background.
- Proficiency in playing multiple musical instruments including guitar, piano, drums, or organ is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with reading sheet music and understanding various music genres for versatile performance capabilities.
- Experience with theater productions or stage performance enhances ability to connect with audiences energetically.
- Knowledge of musical liturgical traditions and ability to blend different musical genres seamlessly.
- Skills in using digital audio workstations (DAW) for recording or editing musical content are advantageous.
