Position: Junior A&R & Music Discovery Assistant

About the Role
We’re looking for someone with a genuine ear for music and an eye for emerging talent. You’ll help our label discover promising artists, identify standout records, and stay connected to what’s happening in the independent music scene.
You don’t need a record label background. We’re looking for someone who can recognize potential, communicate their opinions, and explain what makes an artist or song stand out.
Responsibilities
Discover emerging artists through YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, and other music platforms.
Listen to submissions and identify songs with strong potential.
Research up-and-coming artists, their audience, and their online presence.
Prepare short recommendations highlighting promising artists and records.
Monitor emerging sounds, regional scenes, and shifts in music culture.
Help organize artist submissions and maintain a database of potential talent.
Share recommendations with the label’s leadership for review.
Qualifications
Strong interest in hip-hop and emerging music.
Good listening skills and the ability to explain what makes a song stand out.
Curiosity about artists, audience growth, and music trends.
Organized, dependable, and willing to learn.
No previous A&R or record label experience required.

Pay: $51,400.00 - $62,000.00 per year
