Seeking an enthusiastic candidate for position as a Qualified Private Music Lesson Instructor, to teach various beginning instruments as primary instructor and/or as flex-sub for a variety of enrolled in-person and/or online students of varying ages and proficiency levels, in a music store lesson studio setting.

An applicant for this position must be proficient in at least 2 of any of the following: Orchestral Strings (Violin/Viola/Cello, Mandolin), Guitar (Uke, Bass Guitar), Piano/Keyboard, Music Theory, Youth Percussion (Bell/drum kit, drum set), Voice (Classical, Church, Pop, Broadway), Instrumental Music (elementary through High School band instruments, woodwind/brass).

A person who is able to teach elementary, or intermediate to advanced (Orchestral string/other string instruments) is a bonus. Please list any string experience with your application.

While a completed college music degree is not mandatory, it is preferred; or in lieu considerations will be made for applicants who are or have been enrolled in a college of music, and/or have other qualifying criteria or experience teaching music, or another professional association in the music industry. A Person applying for this position should expect to be hired as a part-time primary teacher and/or flex-sub to begin, with the option to move into a larger student schedule over time.

Whether the students are in-person, or those enrolled through our Online Music Lesson Academy, all lessons are taught on-site (a studio and store-owned secure teaching tablet are provided).

We are seeking an enthusiastic young professional, or a retired music teacher with a heart for teaching and sharing the gift of music. We are excitedly looking for the perfect candidate to become a part of our amazing teaching team, with an option for a long-term position.

Duties:

- Plan and teach private music lessons to students of various ages and skill levels

- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods and techniques

- Teach students the fundamentals of music theory, including reading sheet music, rhythm, and melody

- Provide guidance and support to students as they develop their musical skills and abilities

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve

- Collaborate with other music teachers and staff to organize our annual performance recitals

- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in music education

Skills:

- Strong musical skills and knowledge in a variety of musical genres

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students of all ages

- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching music

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student

- Experience working with children or in early childhood education is preferred

- Knowledge of ballet, theater, or dance is a plus
