Responsibilities:

Teach Music at various levels, including potentially orchestra, chorus, and band
Develop and implement engaging, project-based music curriculum that integrates with other subjects.
Foster a creative, supportive, and collaborative classroom environment.
Guide students in developing their musical skills across areas such as vocal performance, instrumental music, music theory, and composition.
Organize and direct school music programs, including concerts, ensembles, and performances.
Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain records.
Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary planning and execution of projects.
Stay current with trends in music education, project-based learning, and student-centered teaching strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
Active FL DOE Certification in Music Education.
Experience in leading school music programs and performances is highly preferred.
