We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Music Engineer to join our creative team. The Music Engineer will be responsible for recording, editing, mixing, and mastering music projects across various genres. This role requires both technical expertise and a creative ear to ensure high-quality sound production that aligns with the artist’s vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot studio equipment (consoles, microphones, preamps, monitors, outboard gear, DAWs).
- Record and edit vocals, instruments, and other sound sources with precision and clarity.
- Mix tracks to achieve professional balance, depth, and creative dynamics.
- Master final recordings for distribution across multiple platforms (digital, streaming, broadcast, physical media).
- Collaborate closely with artists, producers, and other team members to achieve desired sound and creative direction.
- Maintain organized session files, backups, and documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends, recording technology, and audio software updates.
- Ensure sessions run smoothly and efficiently, respecting deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Music/Audio Engineer in a professional recording environment.
- Proficiency in industry-standard DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, FL Studio, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mixing and mastering techniques.
- Knowledge of acoustics, sound design, and audio signal flow.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project needs.
Preferred Skills (not required):
- Experience with live sound engineering.
- Knowledge of music theory or performance background.
- Familiarity with Dolby Atmos, spatial audio, or immersive sound formats.
Compensation:
Competitive salary or project-based rate, based on experience and qualifications.
