Position Overview The
Digital Rights Administrator – Latin Focused (Regional Mexican) will support Client's
Digital Rights Administration team, which manages and monetizes music content on digital platforms. The role focuses on
monitoring, claiming, and optimizing revenue for client's Regional Mexican music catalogue on
User Generated Content (UGC) platforms, primarily
YouTube.
This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a strong understanding of
Regional Mexican music, excellent data management skills, and experience in
digital rights or content operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of YouTube's Content Management System (CMS) and its application in protecting and monetizing music.
- Identify and claim UGC videos using recordings to maximize ad revenue and ensure accurate rights protection.
- Review and validate automated YouTube Content ID claims, ensuring ownership accuracy.
- Maintain and assess metadata accuracy within the CMS for sound recordings.
- Track usage of music catalogue and address infringing or unauthorized videos.
- Escalate and collaborate with internal teams to resolve CMS or operational issues.
- Work directly with labels, distributed partners, and third parties to resolve ownership conflicts and disputes.
- Communicate with other rights holders to reconcile ownership discrepancies.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to align on rights management activities.
- Prepare and share performance and trend reports derived from YouTube analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and passion for Regional Mexican and Latin music.
- 1–2 years of experience in music, entertainment, social media, or digital rights management.
- Experience working with YouTube CMS, content claiming, or digital platforms preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Word for data tracking and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with copyright, licensing, and rights management principles is a plus.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.
- YouTube Certification a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
