Music Therapy by McLean is seeking a passionate and qualified Board Certified Music Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) through the transformative power of music therapy. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group music therapy sessions to clients, utilizing your specific therapeutic approach.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for new clients complete with music-based interventions that address their specific therapeutic objectives.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
- Maintain accurate records, including session notes and treatment plan progress notes.
- Provide a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages client engagement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy services to diverse populations. Clinical work in school will be considered as eligible experience in your application.
- Comfort working with people of all ages with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and techniques.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to promoting the well-being of clients through positive therapeutic interactions with clients and their families/care team.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
