Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Music Therapy to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Music therapy and experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct support to clients in various settings. The Music Therapy will work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to enhance the quality of life for those we serve.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services, including individual and group counseling sessions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral strategies and interventions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in the field.
- Engage in recreational therapy activities as appropriate to enhance client engagement.
- Support clients in various settings, including outpatient facilities, schools, and home environments.
Skills
- Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with CPT coding.
- Strong background in mental health counseling, including individual/group counseling techniques.
- Ability to provide patient care with empathy and understanding.
- Experience in hospice care, dementia care, or addiction counseling is a plus.
- Familiarity with art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, and recreational therapy practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
