Job Purpose: The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical operations and smooth functioning of multiple studio spaces used by composers, producers, and executives. This role ensures that all hardware and software systems across various rooms are consistently updated, maintained, and optimized to support high-level creative and executive workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain all studio equipment, including audio interfaces, computers, servers, and peripherals.
Regularly update and troubleshoot software such as DAWs, plug-ins, and collaboration tools.
Oversee maintenance by performing in-house repairs when feasible or managing third-party vendor services as needed.
Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to manage upgrades, repairs, and improvements.
Oversee setup and configuration of studio rooms for composers, producers, and visiting artists.
Provide technical support for sessions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Manage music technology needs across departments, ensuring creative and strategic projects run seamlessly.
Ensure that all rooms meet professional audio/visual and workflow standards.
Manage and document staff hardware and software requests and approvals through appropriate channels.
Track P-card purchases and Purchase Orders; maintaining documentation of receipts for monthly Expenditure Reports.
Keep monthly, quarterly, annual subscriptions updated ( i.e. ProTools, Sibelius, Backblaze, Box, Frame IO, Dropbox, AudioMovers, etc. ).
Maintain up-to-date records of subscriptions and expenditures to support review of ongoing needs.
Maintain up-to-date records of rig build budgets and expenditures to inform fiscal year planning.
Maintain documentation of studio systems, setups, and update schedules.
Perform weekly project and system archiving to Backblaze for all projects and composer rigs.
Research and propose AI tools or workflows that streamline studio operations, automation, and processes where beneficial and practical.
WHO YOU ARE
Strong knowledge of music production hardware, software, and digital audio workflows (DAWs, plug-ins, and related tools).
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues with sound judgment and professionalism.
Applies critical thinking to evaluate challenges and guide decisions.
Demonstrates sound judgment in analyzing needs and setting priorities.
Highly organized with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple rooms, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
Adaptable and resourceful, able to adjust quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal disruption.
Curious, motivated, and eager to learn, with genuine enthusiasm for tackling new projects.
Authorized to work in the United States, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

DISCLAIMER:
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is:
$67,414.00-$96,305.00
This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
