Position Overview
HYBE America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Music Industry Intern to support key initiatives across market research, artist development, and program coordination. This internship provides hands-on experience in the music industry, offering exposure to both creative and strategic projects. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to explore how artists are developed and positioned for success in an ever-evolving entertainment landscape.
This is a hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Market Trend Research & Discovery:
- Proactively research and evaluate music and artists across various genres and platforms (e.g., Music Connect, Sodatone, Chartmetric, Mediabase) on an ongoing basis
- Compile and present research findings in clear, concise reports, including artist bios, performance metrics, and market analysis
- Monitor industry trends, emerging musical styles, and competitor activity
- Analyze social media and audience engagement data to generate actionable insights
- Support the development of growth strategies through both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Stay current on industry best practices and share relevant findings with the team
Artist Talents & Development Program Administrative & Organizational Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth program operations
- Organize and maintain files and reports for easy access and team collaboration
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including agenda preparation, note-taking, and follow-ups
- Assist in the planning and logistics of content production events (e.g., signage, scheduling, run of show, trainee prep, invitations)
- Track expenses and compile monthly budget reports
- Manage inventory and coordinate procurement for training materials and other resources
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to team leadership, as assigned
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects based on organizational needs
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Interest in the business side of the music and entertainment industry
- Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Microsoft Excel
- Discreet and professional when handling confidential information

Compensation
This role is paid on an hourly basis, with up to 35 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is $17.81 per hour, in accordance with the Santa Monica minimum wage at the time of posting. This role does not include additional benefits or other compensatory components.
