Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic DJ to energize our events, venues, and community gatherings. As a DJ, you will be responsible for creating an engaging atmosphere through music selection, public speaking, and crowd interaction. Responsibilities
- Curate and mix music playlists that suit the event’s theme and audience preferences to ensure an energetic environment
- Engage with the crowd through lively public speaking, announcements, and interactive activities to enhance the overall experience
- Operate DJ equipment safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting of gear when setting up or breaking down at different venues
- Collaborate with event organizers or clients to understand specific requirements and tailor performances accordingly
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while managing multiple tasks during live events
- Support event logistics by assisting with setup, sound checks, and equipment troubleshooting as needed
- Promote events through social media or other channels when appropriate to maximize attendance and engagement
Experience
- Proven experience as a DJ in live settings such as clubs, parties, festivals, or community events
- Strong knowledge of various music genres, mixing techniques, and sound equipment operation
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to energize large audiences confidently
- Customer service experience with a focus on creating positive interactions with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated dancing ability or familiarity with dance culture is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting of equipment and setup materials efficiently
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, clients, or event staff
