Compensation: $500 – $16,000+ per month
Contract Percentage + Artist-Based Residual Income Structure
Rise Up Music Group is looking for motivated A&R Representatives to help discover, recruit, and develop independent music artists throughout the Southern California music market and surrounding regions.
The company and its founder were previously featured by The Source Magazine for its impact on artist development, success on radio charts, and providing indie artists with a functioning label infrastructure. Over the past decade, the company has continued building the industry's strongest independent artist development system focused on long-term growth, branding, and business structure.
This is a strong opportunity for somebody looking to get their foot in the door in the music industry while working alongside a real artist development infrastructure and record label environment.
This position starts part-time while the A&R builds their artist roster and pipeline. Many of our team members begin this role while balancing another full-time job, business, or creative career.
While this posting is focused around the West coast region, A&Rs are allowed to recruit artists from anywhere as long as the artist is serious, coachable, and able to travel when opportunities, events, showcases, media days, networking opportunities, or company activities are created.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
- Recruiting independent artists
- Building relationships with artists
- Conducting discovery calls
- Explaining Rise Up Music Group’s development structure
- Qualifying artists for label meetings
- Helping artists understand branding, development, and professionalism
- Maintaining artist follow-up communication
- Working with leadership and company systems remotely

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
- Earn 20% of each contract's revenue of artists you successfully sign into the company
- Annual $1,200 travel stipend allocation per artist connected to development activity and company movement
- Residual earning potential as your artist roster grows
