Now Hiring: Drama and Music Teachers for Inclusive Special Needs Summer Camp 2026
Camp Dates: July 13 to August 7
Schedule: Monday through Friday
CAMP JPAC, presented by The Special Needs Network, Inc., is an inclusive summer camp serving school-aged children with developmental disabilities such as autism as well as typically developing peers in a 60 to 40 classroom ratio. Our goal is to help campers grow in confidence, courage, and character through creative arts and physical activities.
We are seeking passionate Drama, Music, and PE Teachers who are experienced or comfortable working with children of varying abilities, including those with special needs.
Positions Available
Drama and Music Teachers
Hours: 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Role Overview
Lead engaging and inclusive sessions in drama or music for a diverse group of campers. Your classroom will include both children with special needs and typically developing children.
Responsibilities
- Deliver arts or physical education activities adapted for children with a range of abilities
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and creativity
- Collaborate with other staff to prepare for the camp’s end-of-session showcase
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is a strong plus
- Background in drama, music, physical education, or related fields
- Ability to manage and engage a mixed-ability group in a structured and nurturing setting
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about inclusion and creativity
