Description:
Nine-month, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Lecturer/Teaching Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2026.
Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in elementary/general music methods and additional undergraduate and graduate courses in area(s) of expertise, coordinating field experience courses, and supervising elementary and middle school music student teachers/interns.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
1) Doctorate/PhD or ABD in music education or related area;
2) expertise and training in elementary music education;
3) successful teaching experience as an elementary music educator.
Preferred Qualifications:
1) Successful teaching experience in a music teacher education program
2) Experience with elementary music teaching methodologies.
