Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Showroom Manager who is polished, knowledgeable, organized and relationship-driven to join our newest Chicago showroom team. This role will blend artistry with business guiding our clients through a high-touch sales experience while representing premier brands.
This position is perfect for someone with a meticulous eye for detail, has high-end sales experience, has an understanding of fine instruments with piano playing experience that thrives in a performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and provide personalized concierge-level service
- Guide clients through selection, customization, and purchase decisions while communicating tonal and technical distinctions between brands
- Build and maintain a strong client portfolio through follow-up, referrals, and engagement
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals with professionalism and integrity
- Curate the ideal mix of instruments, design engaging floor layouts, and ensure every acoustic and digital piano is expertly tuned, serviced, and performance-ready.
- Create an inspiring, impeccably maintained showroom environment by overseeing cleanliness, lighting, climate control, and all maintenance activities.
- Guide and support sales consultants, administrators, and onsite contractors. Set coverage schedules, foster professional excellence, and keep leadership informed of key achievements and needs.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with teachers and music schools. Plan and host recitals and events that elevate the showroom’s presence and strengthen community ties.
- Partner with leadership on pricing and sales coverage, oversee piano logistics, and ensure smooth coordination of supplies, IT support, and interdepartmental communication.
Who You Are:
- A polished, engaging leader who naturally connects with clients, educators, and community partners, and represents the showroom with professionalism and warmth.
- A confident pianist with intermediate or higher playing ability, comfortable demonstrating instruments and speaking knowledgeably about their features and care.
- Experienced in luxury retail, musical instruments, or high-touch service, with a proven ability to guide discerning clients through significant purchase decisions.
- Adept at working with affluent clientele, institutions, and arts organizations, building long-term relationships that support sales and community engagement.
- A reliable, organized manager with strong follow-through and an eye for maintaining an elegant, performance-ready showroom environment.
- An exceptional communicator who can lead staff, coordinate across departments, and represent the showroom with clarity and professionalism (multilingual candidates strongly encouraged).
- Grounded in music education, performance, or piano study, giving you the credibility and insight needed to manage instruments, support teachers, and enrich the customer experience.
