Receptionist / Studio Coordinator
Be the heart (and face) of Chambers Music Studio!
We’re looking for a Receptionist / Studio Coordinator who’s a self-starter with a passion for making a difference. You’ll be at the center of our studio, helping to spark creative growth for students, families, and the entire community. Most of your time will be spent at our Worthington location, but you’ll also be cross-trained at our Bexley café location to ensure smooth operations during emergencies.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, wants to grow into a manager-level leadership role (training begins after 90 days), and is eager to pursue excellence in everything they do. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist students, parents, and visitors with a welcoming attitude to make everyone feel at home.
- Coordinate lesson schedules, makeups, and rescheduling, ensuring smooth communication between students, parents, and teachers.
- Proactively communicate with families via phone, email, and text to support ongoing student progress and retention.
- Sell open lesson slots and trial lessons, promoting growth within the studio with a service-oriented mindset.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area to ensure a pleasant environment for all.
- Provide emergency café coverage at our Bexley location if needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Be a strong independent organizer, efficiently managing the studio’s flow while keeping a positive, proactive approach to any challenges.
Qualifications
- Self-starter with leadership potential—someone who takes initiative and wants to grow into a manager role.
- A warm, welcoming demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for music and community—you’re someone who values the impact of music education and is excited to be a part of an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Quick to adapt and pursue excellence in your work and interactions, ensuring a smooth experience for all studio guests and staff.
- Ability to organize independently, while also being a collaborative team player who’s always eager to help.
- Comfortable with technology: Google Suite, Canva, and other basic office tools.
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or education is a plus.
Compensation
- $16–$20/hour, based on education and experience.
- Manager-level training begins after 90 days.
Schedule & Location
- 35–40 hours per week.
- Primarily at the Worthingtonlocation, some hours at 1031 College and 2738 E Main St as needed.
- Hours: Tuesday-Thursday: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM, Fridays 12:30pm-7:00pm, Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PMAdditional hours as needed.
