Responsibilities
- Serve as our music teacher and director two days per week
- Engage students in love of learning music, harmony, and sound
- Educate students in music theory, musical instruments, and music appreciation
- Develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide instruction in both instrumental and vocal techniques
- Mentoring students, helping them set musical goals, and fostering their musical growth
- Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and exams
- Lead the Academy Hill Chorus in weekly rehearsals
- Orchestrate choral performance for annual school events such as the Art Show and Graduation
- Prepare multiple grade level cohorts for annual musical productions
- Assist with leading “Friday Finale” monthly school sing-alongs
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross curricular opportunities
Education
- High School Diploma required, BA in music (or related field) preferred
